One identified mobile number for each student, used for one thing
only — the Student Late notification that is processed at 3:00 PM on Sunday.
Say who the number belongs to: the message sent to a student is worded differently from the one sent to
a parent or guardian. A student with no contact here is never texted, and that is recorded so it can be
put right. Numbers are stored in international format, for example +17185551234, and
are only ever shown masked.

Student Late Notifications
A student marked Late is queued for one text message,
processed at 3:00 PM church time on the Sunday of the attendance date. Correcting the
record to Present or Absent before then cancels it. A Late entered after 3:00 PM is never sent
automatically — it waits for the pastor, the Sunday School director or an SS admin to send it
deliberately.

Teacher Check-In
Choose CHECK IN when you arrive.
Your arrival time is taken from the church database when you choose CHECK IN — not from this phone or computer — and it cannot be typed in or changed here. Sunday School begins at 9:30 AM. On Time is a check-in at 9:35:59 AM or earlier; Late is 9:36 AM or later. Times are shown in the church’s local time (America/New_York). If you teach more than one class, this is one check-in for the whole morning. Check-in is available on Sundays only — on any other day the database records nothing.
Your mobile number for attendance notifications is
not set. Only you and the pastor, the Sunday School director or an
SS admin can see it — no other teacher can, and it never appears in a downloaded report. Ask one
of them to add or change it.
Your Check-In History
Only your own teacher attendance appears here. No other teacher’s attendance or arrival time is shown on this screen, and the database will not return one.

Teacher Attendance Roster
Every teacher on the existing class assignment records is listed for the date chosen — teacher names and classes come from those records, so there is no second teacher list to keep in step. The date must be a Sunday; any past or future Sunday can be recorded or corrected here, and no other day can. A teacher who has not checked in stays Not recorded: nobody is ever marked absent automatically. Arrival times and the On Time / Late classification are worked out by the database and are never typed in by a teacher.

Teacher Mobile Numbers
Optional. A number is stored in international format —
a plus sign, the country code and the number, for example +17185551234. A number typed
as (718) 555-1234 is read as a United States number and saved as +17185551234; any number outside
the United States and Canada must be typed with its own country code. A teacher with no number simply
receives no attendance notification, and that is recorded in the SMS log below the reports.

Class Attendance & Visitors
Enrolled Present counts enrolled students marked
Present or Late — the same rule the Overall Attendance rate above has always used.
Total Attendance is Enrolled Present plus Visitors. Visitors are anonymous and are never
added to absent totals, late totals, enrolment totals, student attendance percentages or the Follow-Up list.
These class figures cover the whole class for each date, whichever Student or Status filter is chosen above.

Teacher Attendance & Punctuality
Sunday School begins at 9:30 AM. On Time is an arrival at 9:35:59 AM or earlier and Late is 9:36 AM or later, worked out by the database from the exact arrival time in the church’s local time zone, so a report stays right on both sides of a clock change. Not recorded means no one has yet recorded that teacher for that date — it is not an absence. Teachers expected is the teachers assigned to a class multiplied by the dates in this range that have any teacher attendance recorded.

Download Teacher Check-Ins
The file has six columns — Teacher Name, Assigned Class,
Check-In Date, Check-In Time, Attendance Status and Recorded By — sorted by date and then by
teacher name, and it opens in Microsoft Excel and in Google Sheets without any importing step.
Late is an arrival at 9:36 AM or later, worked out by the database from the
recorded arrival time. A teacher assigned to more than one class appears once for each class.
Teachers’ mobile numbers are never included.

SMS & Notifications
SMS Message Settings
The exact wording of each notification. Change it here and it takes
effect on the next notification — no code change and no redeploy. Keep messages short and free of
any private detail: a text message is not a private channel. Only the approved placeholders may be used,
written exactly as {student_name}, {teacher_name},
{attendance_date} and {class_name}, and only in the messages allowed to
use them. A message that cannot be completed is never sent and never recorded as sent.

Attendance SMS Log
One row for each notification, for teachers and students alike.
Scheduled means it is waiting for 3:00 PM church time on the attendance date.
Sent means the SMS provider accepted it. Failed means it did not —
the attendance record was saved all the same, and RESEND will try again. Cancelled means
the attendance was corrected before the message was processed. No contact means nobody
identified is on file to text. Awaiting a decision means Late was recorded after
3:00 PM, so nothing is sent automatically. Delivery uncertain means the provider was asked
but never answered, so whether the message arrived is not known — it is left for leadership to
check with the carrier rather than resent automatically. Not configured means no SMS
provider is switched on yet, so the notification was recorded but nothing was sent. Every manual send is recorded as
its own row, and the notification it repeats is left exactly as it was.

SMS Queue Diagnostics
When an attendance record saves but its notification could not be
queued, the attendance is kept and the reason is recorded here. Nothing in this table can be edited or
deleted — only marked Resolved or Ignored, with a note. Details are
scrubbed of digits by the database before they are stored, so no telephone number ever appears here.
Leadership only.
